Now we know why that poor old farmer didn’t want that kitchen!.Thanks to my Father-in-law (but not really cause now I’m even more scared to be home alone) for sharing this story with me!This is one of those things that is totally unnecessary, but it’s an idea I just couldn’t get out of my brain, so I did it..I saw these monogrammed tissue box covers at Pottery Barn, probably last year sometime, and something about them just made me happy..
This is my own version, made for Kennedy’s room.It’s a little different, and a little less perfect (of course), but it’s still the same basic idea..
It started out as a plain wood tissue box cover from Dollarama that I was just going to paint white to cover up all those ugly bright boxes you get with your tissues.
Then Kennedy saw it and wanted to paint it all kinds of crazy colors herself, so I let her.Once that month is over, we tend to turn our attention indoors in preparation for Christmas time.
What a shame, when there’s still so much interest and beauty to be seen outdoors in November!With an almost one-year-old in the house, we’re finding ourselves outside and looking for interesting things to do and see to keep us occupied, and that’s not going to slow down now that it’s November!.
